A true global citizen, Jeff has lived in locations around the world—from the urban streets of London, England to the rainforests of Papa New Guinea—and now calls the sunny coasts of Southern California home. During his travels, Jeff has been allowed a unique view of the world community that’s instilled in him a strong desire to connect to people globally in meaningful and impactful ways.
A one-time anthropology major, Jeff eventually found his true calling in marketing, thus beginning his longest adventure—becoming a branding and marketing expert in the Electronic Gaming and Fintech industries for 25+ years. His work has involved developing high-impact growth strategies that increase ROI for businesses, and discovering new markets based on disrupting established and stagnant paradigms–essentially, seeking new adventures.
Jeff has been dubbed a “media guru” by Jason Robins, the CEO of Draft Kings, where Jeff worked with Jason to exponentially increase Draft Kings’ valuation in just four years. Jeff’s extended gaming industry experience also includes building mobile gaming brands such as; World of Tanks, Ubisoft’s The Settlers, Jam City’s Panda Pop and Cookie Jam. In iGaming, Jeff has worked with such global brands as; Bet on Sports, Betmaker, BoDog, BetDSI, America’s Card Room, BetUS, Draft Kings and others. Jeff’s years of e-Sports industry experience makes him an invaluable asset to entrepreneurs entering the market and he’s frequently tapped as a consultant to startups and established businesses around the world. As an example, he is a current member of the advisory board for RewardMob, a mobile e-Sports game developer based in Canada.
Perhaps the perfect combination of Jeff’s life philosophy, international travel and years of gaming industry experience is represented by his current venture, a competitive gaming platform called MEGAFANS (Mobile Esports Games And Fantasy Sports). MEGAFANS uses a proprietary GRM (Game Relationship Management) philosophy, to deliver better experiences for both gamers and developers. It also has the mission to introduce more diversity to the gaming industry by embracing underserved markets on a global scale. To do this, MEGAFANS prioritizes inclusivity for female gamers who are mostly ignored by the gaming industry, despite making up 50% of the gaming population. It also seeks to bring mobile communications to “underbanked” and emerging economies globally to create the opportunity to deliver educational mobile games to children.
When he’s not working on the next quest in Mobile Gaming disruption, Jeff’s greatest joy is playing board and mobile games with his family and surfing the waves of La Costa, California’s beautiful beaches. Jeff also volunteers his time with various community charities such as Meals on Wheels and the San Diego State University mentorship program.
